Critter Counsel provides unique experience-based learning for schools, keepers, and the community.
We work alongside hobbyists, rescues, educators, and wildlife organizations to support both captive animals and native ecosystems.
Above all, we believe every species matters. From surrendered snakes to wild tarantulas, and even the smallest overlooked creatures like isopods and snails.
Many of the animals we work with are rescues—some are non-releasable wildlife, including invasive species that can’t return to the wild, many are ethically bred pets from the trade that were surrendered, abandoned, or simply had keepers who were misinformed.

To spread respect and support for all animals and ecosystems through education, ethical exotic animal keeping, conservation, and collaboration.
Animal Ambassador Programs
Our ambassador program offers both assembly-style and hands-on classroom options, bringing a unique experience to students of all ages. We have options from learning life cycles and local wildlife safety to invertebrate anatomy and complex genetics/morphology.
Rescue and Relocation
From rehabbing and rehoming surrendered exotics to helping wildlife find their way out of your yard and back to the wild, we approach every situation with respect, care, and a focus on safe coexistence between people and animals.
